PIER is a restaurant, bar and listening room over the water on Hobart’s Elizabeth Street Pier. 

Come for breakfast. Stay too long over lunch. Order another martini. Come back for dinner. 

The kitchen starts with Tasmania and goes wherever it wants from there. The wine stays Tasmanian (with a few blow ins from time to time). The cocktails don’t mess around.

The music gets played on vinyl, through very big speakers.

Yes, the speakers are that big. Vinyl every day. Guest selectors. Album nights. Music you're supposed to hear.

Coffee in the morning. Lunch by the water. Dinner when the lights go down. Drinks until you've had enough.

  • We rotate our menu 3 times a year. First up is Asian Supper Club. Check out our menu for more.

  • Children are welcome up until 10pm. Please note we have a limited number of high chairs. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

  • Reserved for guests of Citadenes…the Martini hotline is Hobart’s hottest number - with exquisite cocktails delivered to your room.

  • We are open to the public for all services.

  • We can accomodate most allergies, however our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, shellfish and gluten. Whilst all reasonable efforts are taken to accommodate, we cannot guarantee our food will be 100% allergen free.

  • Reservations are recommended but we welcome walk ins on a first come first served basis. If the venue is at capacity the host will run a waitlist on the day.

  • We offer several options for hosting events, from out private dining room to a full venue hire. Please reach out to reservations@piertasmania.com.au and we look forward to helping you celebrate.

  • There is paid parking along the waterfront on Franklin Wharf, Morrison St & Constitution Dock. But let’s be real…better idea to have an Uber drop you at the door and you can enjoy yourself…or better yet - book a room and make a night of it ;)
